My Toughest so Far...

Lasting for almost to one and a half hour, I could say that's my toughest interview I'll gone through in my whole 25 years living on this planet.

I could still recalled the moments this afternoon. The sky was dark, covered by pieces of greyish clouds and the chill winds were blowing in from the sea. I was walking very fast across the walkway under a long but narrow roof that only helped kept the falling rains from hitting my head, while other parts of my shirt were wet.

I changed my security pass for the second time, and the HR lady guided me into their admin building... "Geez, thank god I finally made it here" I whispered to myself.

I told myself to perform the best as this is really one rare opportunity to make it here into this company! But the moment I stepped into the building, there wasn't any form of warm feel... People were doing their own stuffs, in their own rooms, and neither there were any conversation loud enough to be heard by another along the corridors.... It was a boring place for a moment I thought. I was interviewed by a powerful man, he shot me with the toughest questions in this entire world, and I must admit he's a smart dude for I never once felt so helpless infront of anyone before... He never let a chance to spot my loose ends in my answers, and this dragged on for the 1.5 hrs!!!

Evaluation of me falls into 3 cat. (1) Evaluate me as personal character, (2) Evaluate me as solving a situation I'm not familar with & (3) QnA..... The first part lasted for about 30 minutes, I performed well as I am presenting myself and showcasing my abilities! I stumpped on the next 40 minutes on questions like the followings:

The first stage Q:
- Can you say something about your invlovement in your cycling activities?
- What significant role do you play in your team?
- What significant ideas or events you as a individual had implement / organize?
- You are involved in some clubs in university, can you say smth on them?
- What's your greatest achievement so far?
- What's your greatest challenge in life?
- What is your reasons in doing all these stuffs?

The second stage Q:
- Are you familar with privatization, say a company or any institute? Can you elaborate?
- What does tourism means to you? Why do we promote tourism? What are the advantages & Dis advantages?
-What do you think are some forms of tourism? Please explain them...
- What if you are the minister of tourism in S'pore and for the next minutes you are to present your vision in molding the country's toursim for the next 5, 10 and 15 years... Say smth~

CHIM!!!!! Can guess what company it is?

A dream might come true?

A simple call that lasted less than a minute this morning left me pondering for the rest of the day thinking whether all this is coming true?

~* I Love You 莎莎 !!!!! *~

So Pretty!!!!

I perserved all the way to the very last minute to catch a glance on her, 莎莎. The beautiful 23 years old taiwan artiste who acted in the latest HOT SHOT ROCK the island drama "Marry Me"....

Oh Salahio~~~~ Her beatiful curl long hair, slender bodyline, captivating eyes and most importantly her Man-Killer cute taiwanese tone simply knock all the males down to their knees, while making the girls so jealous (bcos she is standing beside Mike He).

Woah man, I even hold her hand for about 3 sec after bashing through the crowd of crazy fans! Relax, I'm not trying to dash through the security, just die hard fans who purchased the DVDs at almost $80 can have the honor to do a gentleman hand shake with her + Mike He (to me not so impt).... Come one man! Its a pity that this show attract more girls, women, aunties and ah ma than the boys... Terrible mistakes dudes, this drama featured ladies in act are all top models in Taiwan, and all are tall over 1.65m and gorgeous eyes and figures.
Checking out her blog and fan site currently for more info! tata....
She's in the middle!!!

My very new K800i...

I have been using Nokia handphone for almost the very first day I ever own one say mobile, being always skeptical about other brands I'm pretty passive in turning for other mobile phones' brands despite with all the goodie functions or even the best price deals in the market.

Not until the day when my N7610 turn gaagaa, I was strolling along the department store and saw this beauty on the display. Well, I was looking for another gadget also recently, a camera because the one I used to have was losted / stolen (curse that thief dude) when my sister brought out to sentosa! The wall I build around me accepting other brands are still sky-high, and slowly I swifted over to the counter... "Can I have a look at that please, the Nokia one?" Hmmm, great style + good camera imaging, yet a too much a selling price I can swallow~

"Hmmm, how about this sir" came a soft voice of one sale attendent. Hey what do you know, stuningly amazed by it! And the price for it is nothing much than I can afford~ Coupled with a mixed feeling, I went home deciding pretty hard! Am I falling in love with another brand finally?
Trading in my N7610, it's merely a 200 dollars more to get this brand new Sony Ericsson (cybershot) mobile phone. Woah great & splendid it was so far into the 4th day of using! The 3.2 megapix was indeed cool while snapping shots in fast time... Camera setup mode was cool via sliding down the rear cover and shoot mode was ready in less than 2sec. There's bluetooth, internet and infra connection ports, lighter than N73, black is a cool colour, easy sms-ing and best of all it's fantastically modes of shooting pictures...... Good for taking pictures for blogging! And it offers direct online blogging too~

21st August, when I turned 25...

Yesterday was my 25th years old birthday and the very first thing coming into my mind is what a tough year it had been... Graduating from the university, turning back to the National Service, looking for a decent job, planning for other major issues in the rest of my life! Now isn't that some great 25, the age of turning adult (permanently).....

But it's just part of life, there's always bad times & good times. I tuck in to the feast of Japanese dishes laid out infront of me and boy I enjoyed the dinner at Sakae~ No matter how times may be tough, what matter most is to have the love ones beside you....

The New Balance REALRUN success!!!

Yes! Despite the sands in our running shoes, long stretching upslopes at almost every part of the race and the sorching heat from mr sun... I'm proud that we'll finished well not the very fast time but for some first-timers in marathon like the two beautiful ladies beside me, it's a big well done + a loud clap!

There's good and bad.... The usual 10km run routine really stretched my muscles along the 1.6km sand section and the finale trail section. I left the bunch and dashed forward when the sand kicks in, woooh just got to keep it going~ And it's just felt good to keep going and making it to the finishing line...

Well most people find that the REALRUN is pretty disorganized. There's non-complete closure of the run route with cars shooming pass us, ain't no caretakers for bags deposit and sooo few lockers which I saw one lady crying off when she misplaced her bags! And to add on the fuel, t-shirt is pretty much on first come first serve basis, if you are a slow dude on the race, it's likely you wouldn't get the size you want after the race.

I did enjoy the wonderful day, especially seeing my dear completing the entire 10km.... First time woooh, and hope there's more to come in near future!

星期二, 8月 15, 2006

Rain water was still dripping down from the bus interchange roofings, and seems like the heavy rain had began to lift itself up and away for the afternoon. As I stood lonely along the lane 249, there's absolutely no feeling of stresses about the job interview later on, but a strong desperate though of wishing the bus to come!

"Urggh, 26 minutes! Why the driver had lost it's bus or what!!??" Somethings are just way too strange, "why can't they make all buses to taus area air conditioned?" Especially for somewhere's that hot and smoky (fumes & dusts from the factory)~

Growing up sometimes sucks! Well of course another day sometimes seems fine again... As I said, good times are often those spent with your very loved ones. Being fustrated Q-ing up for that bloody darn 249 bus, it suddenly occured to me that all these things I'm doing right now is for my loved ones. Nothing beats finding a job now and contributed to my family.

Soon everyone is going to start a new chapter in life after university, some off marrying, some furthering their phd, some working like a mad cow, & while some even vanished from this world~ Geex, so much thoughs during the Q...

After Fireworz on Saturday....

I was standing just right behind the police officer when this picture was snapped! Look at the massive crowd right after the fire worz, & the traffic lights simply meant no purpose on the night...

Wondering why am I there? I was riding right through this horrible jam of the time, and while pretty stuck behind the police officer, I took my time snapping some interesting scenes of the night~

After leaving the jam, we went all way down to eastcoast park... And headed back to westcoast near NUS to have our supper... Phewww~ What a night! Seems like I got to buck up on the speed
after the long rest from riding since my opt.

After Fireworks on Friday~~

I could barely reached for my camera phone & snapped a horrible scene inside the local subway. Oui~ Just after this snap, I was ganna stepped on the foot by this middle aged lady standing beside me, eagerly scanning her surrounding for seats...

I Love Singapore: Version (3)

Being a multi-culture and religion land, often do we see great happenings around us over the places. And today I'm showcasing some of the interesting events that occur in my place...

Version (3): Eventful Country

The nightsky was brighten up with fireworks
near the esplanade at 9pm after my wonderful
dinner at marina square...

Modestly taken couples of pictures with my
modest 1megapixel mobile phone. While
pondering when can I own the N93?
The next morning when I was off to my breakfast, I saw plenty
of events going on. The ones on the right is an wonderful yet odd
event going on organized by the malay groups. Well, it's kind of out to educate citizens to pay more attention in safe sex & reduce
the chances of pregnancy~ Hmmm, strange right?

So I wonder why there's so much malay events this morning till I saw this banner hanging on the park near my apartment....

There's popular games
Sepak Takraw competition going on too! While some off aside playing basketballs....

PS: Don't ever complain about we lack places to spend weekends! There's only BORING people, yet no BORING places.....

I Love Singapore: Version (2)

Over soooo many years, we never fail to put our 'love the country' expression hanging out of our apartments. Well indeed for many years we'll been doing the similiar things, wonder if creativity is somehow stuck there, well since this era is all about recycling, reuse so on.... We though that reusing those flags over and over the years can maybe shower and display out neverdying love for the country.... PS: Remember to hang it the correct manner or you'll be either warned or in serious case thrown behind bars if you do anything creative to the original designs.....

Yes, they are all around us... From windows of our apartments to along the roads, streets and even the lifts. Although it brighten up the entire neighbourhood for about a month, for someone like me seeing these same layouts years & years later... I'm pretty bored & starting to find it well much sianzzz~

Please please... I think we'll be more creative (in the right way) to make this day more special right? wooohooo Mr/Ms commitees of my district.

I Love Singapore: Version (1)

A tribute to Singapore's 41st birthday! And since living here for almost a quater of a century, I decided to share my version of my Xin ah por...

The first version is all about FOOD

Singapore, I can say is the best food center in the entire Asia Pacific. You can find almost any food from all parts of the world gather here, there's chinese(various dialects dishes), malays, vietnam, thai, japanese, spanish, mexican, north & south india, italian, french foods and so on... Things from steam, fried, bake, stir, grill to even raw! High costly dinings to even street food aka pasar malam~ You name it, you are readily near 100% can find it here.

So, the picture above showed my supper for tonight. It's called 'roti prata', seems pretty much like an indian-style pan-cake served with choices of different curry dips or even well off with sugar. Now although roti prata is a malay word, well it's actually a indian food...

It's interesting seeing the cook flip flop the dough high up into the air and molding them into flat roti. Flip it over the hot plate for near 10 minutes and its ready to go! Sheldom find such delights at posh restaurant but can find it in almost all local eatery aka kopitiam. Some stalls open till late night as can see from the picture below, most stalls are closed for the day...

And it can truly serve as one of the representative food of Singapore... :p

Food taste: ***** (varys from different stalls & types of dips you take)
Must Try Ratio: **** (Almost impossible to miss)
Healthy Aspect: ** (Don't take it too much and often, pretty fat...)
Cost: ***** (Take 3-4 pieces of them will never almost cost you four dollars
Location: *** ( Since in kopitiam, the ambience is definately losing to posh place)

I watched the movie THE LAKE HOUSE...

A heart warming love movie by Sandra Bullock & Keanu Reeves, and I strongly recommend to anyone out there to catch it. Especially to those in love or perhaps looking for love? It's just one romantic outing you'll wish for together with loved one.

Well, almost as perfect as the show might seems, it's also important that the environment is fitting in too. Maybe I said these out of my alittle bit regret while during the show. There's some kids bringing their young girlfriends sitting behind me and trust me, as the show is full of time travelling alternating scenes, local kids just couldn't understand. So! They started chatting behind me why this & why that happens! Oh gosh it's....... Another funny thing I wanted to talk about is this couple in their twenties, either the guy is striking a topic to the girl or just pure stupid. Here it goes, guy:"Seems like the girl acted in some show before?" girl:"errrrr yes, the Ms Congeneity thingy." guy:" Oh yes yes, seems like the guy is too familiar." girl:"He acted in the MATRIX, remember?"

So much for the disturbance but in all, I enjoy the movie so much that I really don't mind catching it again. Now it brings to my thought that true love stand the challenge of time, and so does the movie proves it... Faith is so much important.

Another point it bring out is "It's always easy to build a house, but it's hard to build a home..." And it's all about connections~

Pretty much on the movie huh? Besides that I got myself a brand new card-reader and just had some fun about it transfering all the pictures from my mobile phone to the laptop, this surely save me couple of money doing it by mms....

so long for now, do catch the show if possible.........
